The Fall Activities Tag!

Shout out to icebreaker694 for tagging me in this wonderful post, and for being the first person to tag me in anything over here in the book blogging community! Thank you for that! You guys should definitely go check out their answers to this tag, they’re awesome!

So, without further ado, let’s go!

APPLE PICKING
a book on your TBR that looks so delicious, you can’t wait to take a bite out of it

lm1Lady Midnight – Cassandra Clare

Can we just talk about the colours here? And the artwork? And the mystery of it all? Does the cover alone not make you just want to pick up the book and dive right into it? The pages are even BLUE in my version. And the new hard back version is just so gorgeous!

CORN MAZE
a book thats so fun to get lost in

obliviateClockwork Angel – Cassandra Clare

So I wanted to choose the whole of the ‘Infernal Devices’  trilogy for this one, but since it specified ‘a book’ I chose ‘Clockwork Angel‘. But I’ve become so emotionally invested in this series! I literally get lost in these books, I could sit there and read them all day if it wasn’t for responsibilities getting in the way. The Shadowhunter world is just incredible.

PUMPKIN PATCH
the last book you picked up

a50315628e8f407558d27fb4518f13d4I’ll Give You The Sun – Jandy Nelson

I adore everything Jandy Nelson writes, and whilst I’m late to the bandwagon when it comes to ‘I’ll Give You The Sun‘, I’ve managed to avoid all spoilers for it, I have no idea how, and can safely say I’m enjoying it so much!

SCENIC DRIVES
a book that is lyrically beautiful

imagesThe Sky Is Everywhere – Jandy Nelson

Another entry from Jandy Nelson, but I read this book back when it was released and something about it just captured me. I can literally reach the last page of this book and instantly flip it back to the first and read it all over again straight away. It’s such a beautiful book, not just in how it’s written, but also in the illustrations that are in there too!

PUMPKIN CARVING
a book you didn’t like and wouldn’t mind carving up

throne_of_glass_ukThrone of Glass – Sarah J. Maas

How to commit book blogging suicide in one answer. I just don’t like it! I’ve tried countless times to read it, but I just can’t get past the first chapter, nothing about it grabs me and hooks me onto the story line! I know how much everyone on booktube and blogs love these books, and I wish I did, but I just don’t.

DRINKING APPLE CIDER
a sweet book to curl up under the covers with

riddikulusFangirl – Rainbow Rowell / Harry Potter – J.K Rowling1079

Fangirl is such a good book if you want something that’s going to leave you smiling and filled with contentment by the end of it. Harry Potter is my go to Fall series of books, there’s just something about them that make them perfect for the cold, dark nights!

JUMPING IN A LEAF PILE
a book that reminds you of your childhood

expecto-patronumMagyk – Angie Sage

This book brings back some really fond memories. I received it as a gift when I was spending time with my Uncle in London when I was young, and for a while me and my mom would take it in turns to read it each night before I went to sleep. By far one of my favourite memories!

SCARY MOVIE NIGHT
your favourite spooky read

28364420Dark Room – Tom Becker

This book gave me the creeps for so long after reading it! It’s not even that the story line/plot is that scary, but there’s just something about this book that really had me scared! It’s a brilliant read for around Halloween time!

  1. Thank you for the tag! The Lady Midnight cover is absolutely stunning, right?! All of Clare’s books are beautiful (especially the special edition hardback ones with all the runes!) but the artwork on that one steals it for me. It’s interesting you didn’t like Throne of Glass – I found the first one a little bit slow too, but the series does get more exciting. Fun tag. 🙂
